Lunar Eclipse December 10, 2011

Total lunar eclipse is an event where the entire cross section of months covered by the shadow of the earth. This event occurs when the sun, earth and moon are in a straight line so that the sun should be shining on the moon which was blocked by the earth.

Months go umbra (dark shadow of the central or core) at 19:45:43 pm. Early lunar eclipse at 09:06:16 am and peak eclipse at 09:31:49 am. While the final total lunar eclipse at 09:57:24 am and month out of the umbra at 09:17:58 am.

December 10th total lunar eclipse can be seen from all parts of Indonesia since the beginning until it eclipses. Of course if the weather is in good condition.

Known, the first total lunar eclipse this year occurs on June 16 last. This spectacular natural events can be observed in most of South America, Europe, Africa, Asia and Australia. The lunar eclipse total eclipse phase lasted 1 hour 40 minutes 52 seconds, umbral contact phase 3 hours 39 minutes 58 seconds and the contact phase penumbra 5 hours 39 minutes 10 seconds

Dated December 10, 2011 to coincide with the 14th Muharrom 1433 Hijri lunar eclipse is expected to occur. Details of events lunar eclipse on December 10, 2011 as follows:

  • eclipse began at 07:45 am
  • total eclipse began at 09:06 am
  • middle / top of the eclipse at 09:32 am
  • total eclipse end at 09:58 am
  • end of the eclipse at 11:18 am

Events lunar eclipse on December 10, 2011 can be seen in the entire region of Indonesia.

The phenomenon of a lunar eclipse for the scientists considered the norm. Something could happen every month. However, the events in the Islamic lunar eclipse, meant for Muslims is an event that can add to the reward or punishment. When there is an eclipse of the moon, Muslims are encouraged to pray lunar eclipse (salat kusuf)
